Job summary

Wagepoint, a remote-first payroll software company serving small businesses across Canada, seeks an experienced Senior UX Designer in the United States. You will set design craft, build high-quality prototypes, and collaborate across Product, Engineering, and leadership to shape complex SaaS workflows.

You will mentor designers, drive AI-assisted discovery, and advocate for accessible, data-driven UX, ensuring seamless experiences for customers and end users.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UX or product design, ideally in SaaS.
• Strong portfolio of work with complex data and multi-step forms.
• Experience navigating ambiguity and facilitating workshops.
• Mastery of Figma (variables, components, libraries).
• Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, V0, and Figma Make.

Responsibilities

• Set the bar for design craft and deliver high-quality prototypes.
• Manage delivery across multiple large-scale projects.
• Apply systems thinking to information architecture and user flows.
• Build relationships with Product, Engineering, and senior leadership.
• Drive standards in AI-assisted discovery and exploration.
• Champion and contribute to the Wagepoint design system.
• Play a key role in product strategy and vision.
• Mentor other designers and provide constructive feedback.
• Advocate for UX, accessibility, and data-led decisions.
