Job summary

Ameriprise Financial seeks a Senior Manager, UX Design to lead the creation of intuitive experiences for advisors, clients and prospects across web and mobile platforms. You will partner with cross-functional Agile teams and business leaders to transform user and business needs into impactful digital solutions, champion human-centered design and guide UX research.

You will mentor a high-performing design team, influence experience strategy, and collaborate to advance innovation and design

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years).
7+ years of UX design experience.
Strong human-centered design process and web best practices.
Proficiency with design tools, thinking, systems thinking, and agile methods.
Experience with visualization tools (Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Suite, Tableau/Power BI).
Clear written and verbal communication of ideas and rationale.
Knowledge of color theory, typography and web design standards.

Responsibilities

Lead wireframes, mock-ups and deliverables to illustrate the intended user experience.
Document design requirements and Agile acceptance criteria for developers.
Present concepts and rationale to product teams and stakeholders.
Manage workload and mentor a high-performing design team.
Champion design and brand across programs, lead reviews and feedback.
Conduct UX research, usability testing, surveys and card sorting.
Contribute to strategy and approach for user experience.
