Job summary

Uplight is seeking a seasoned Utility Sales Director to lead enterprise software sales within the energy sector in the United States. You will drive multi-million dollar deals, build a strong pipeline, and mentor a high-performing sales team.

In this role, you will engage C-level executives, collaborate with Delivery, Marketing and Product, and craft strategies to exceed quotas while advancing clean energy goals. Occasional travel expected with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years direct sales experience selling SaaS, services and/or enterprise software to C-Level Executives.
• Proven track record of exceeding quotas and landing multi-million dollar deals.
• Experience in startup or new product lines within an existing company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop a robust pipeline within the assigned territory and act as prospector of new business.
• Apply consultative sales approaches to new and existing customers.
• Identify, reach and influence C-level decision makers within targeted accounts.
• Collaborate with executives to develop sales strategies to close business and build reference accounts.
• Work with Sales, Delivery, Marketing and Product teams to exceed customer expectations and grow multi-year relationships.
• Meet and exceed sales and new business goals with strong compensation.
