Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Principal Consultant – Utility Prudence Expert based in the United States. You will lead engagements with investor-owned utilities, advise on regulatory and financial prudence matters, and influence major energy modernization initiatives.

This remote-first senior role requires 10+ years in energy and utilities, strong regulatory analysis, testimony experience, and business development skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or related discipline; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in energy/utilities sector with consulting, utility, PUC, or Big Four background.
• Proven ability to deliver expert testimony and regulatory writing for rate cases or proceedings.
• Strong analytical, financial, and communication skills; ability to translate complex issues for executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements for utilities and energy organizations with high-quality deliverables.
• Provide expert analysis and testimony on prudence of investments in energy modernization.
• Assess cost recoverability and capital investment reasonableness for regulatory support.
• Contribute to utility rate cases, regulatory proceedings, and strategic transactions.
• Support business development and identify new consulting opportunities.
