Job summary

Atlas Field Services seeks a seasoned Consulting Utility Arborist to provide field oversight across our Texas service area, focusing on Tree Risk Assessment, hazard tree planning, and vegetation management programs.

The role requires hands-on UVM experience, independent field work across diverse terrains, strong communication with clients, contractors, and the public, and adherence to safety requirements; travel across the client territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Seasoned utility forestry background with field-tested judgment.
• Minimum 3 years of Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) experience; 5+ years preferred.
• ISA Arborist designation and TRAQ are preferred but not required.
• Bilingual ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide field oversight of Tree Risk Assessment program across the client service territory.
• Field oversight of hazard tree planners and supplemental programs.
• Field oversight of Distribution, Transmission and other Fuel Management programs.
• Contractor crew safety observations and audits.
• Support client communications, guidelines, and process improvements.
• Technology implementation support and user adoption within the contract workforce.
• Quality control/field validation of remote sensing data for vegetation encroachments.
• Capital project management and cost estimation for non-routine vegetation management operations.
