Job summary

Lilly in Lebanon, Indiana, is seeking a Utilities Senior Operator to join the Lilly Medicine Foundry. This self-directed role manages high-purity water, steam, chilled water, waste streams, and related utility systems on a 12-hour night shift (5:00 PM–5:30 AM), with initial onboarding possibly on day shift in 2027.

You'll apply GMP, EH&S, and SOPs, maintain logs, troubleshoot equipment, and support training of Operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in utilities, industrial, or mechanical operations; GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willing to respond to call-in and scheduled overtime work.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to withstand temperature variations outdoors.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain utility systems with minimal oversight.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and address cleanliness proactively.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment/process issues and report to supervision.
• Support training and development of Operators.
• Suggest continuous improvement ideas and raise safety concerns to leads.
• Follow SOPs, GMP requirements, and EH&S protocols; log documentation per Good Documentation Practices.
