Job summary

Lilly in Lebanon, Indiana (Medicine Foundry) is hiring a Utilities Senior Operator to operate and maintain critical utility systems on a permanent night shift (12‑hour 5:00 PM–5:30 AM, with day shift onboarding in 2027). Initial assignment in Carmel, IN, with relocation to the Lebanon facility as the permanent site.

The role emphasizes safety, equipment troubleshooting, and training others, within a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. Minimal travel required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years in utilities, industrial, or mechanical operations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing to respond to call‑in and scheduled overtime work.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work outside in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain all assigned utility systems with minimal oversight.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across utility operations.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment and process issues and report findings.
• Support training and development of Operators.
• Suggest improvement ideas and address safety concerns with supervisors.
• Follow GMP, SOPs and EH&S protocols; document activities.
