Job summary

Lilly in Lebanon, IN is seeking a Utilities Lead Operator for the Medicine Foundry site. You will supervise the utilities team, oversee high purity water, steam, cooling, and waste streams, and ensure GMP/EH&S compliance while coordinating with engineering and site leadership.

Role requires 5+ years in utilities with supervisory experience, English proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a 12-hour night shift on a 3-2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in utilities/industrial/mechanical operations; supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• English required.
• Willingness to respond to call-ins and overtime.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to wear respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Act as supervisor in the absence of the site supervisor and manage shift priorities.
• Communicate equipment issues to the appropriate teams and ensure timely resolution.
• Review SOPs to reflect actual system operation with engineering and site leadership.
• Conduct housekeeping walkthroughs to GMP and EH&S standards; enforce compliance.
• Ensure operators understand processes, equipment, and responsibilities; support training.
• Lock out equipment and ensure readiness for maintenance; enforce GMP and EH&S protocols.
