Job summary

Lilly, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a Utilities Operator to independently operate, monitor, and maintain complex utility systems at the Lilly Medicine Foundry in Lebanon, IN. This role requires manual dexterity, adherence to GMP and EH&S, and the ability to work night shifts on a 12-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of utilities, industrial, or mechanical operations experience.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Willing to respond to call-in and overtime.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to work outside in varying temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate, monitor, and maintain all assigned utility systems with minimal oversight.
• Proactively maintain housekeeping standards across utility operations areas.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment and process issues, communicating findings to supervision.
• Support the training and development of Operators by sharing knowledge and demonstrating procedures.
• Recommends continuous improvement ideas and safety concerns for follow-up.
• Follow all SOPs, GMP requirements, and site EH&S protocols, and maintain logs and documentation.
