Job summary

Amgen in Holly Springs, NC, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician – Utilities (Waste Water Treatment) to lead and optimize industrial wastewater treatment operations. The role includes operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems, monitoring permit compliance, and guiding lab testing and process control.

The position requires strong mechanical/electrical maintenance skills, ability to work with minimal direction, and experience in cGMP environments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED and 6 years of Water Treatment Operations or Maintenance experience.
Or 2 years in a Technical School setting with hands-on experience in Water Treatment Operations or Maintenance experience.
Preferred: 5+ years knowledge of wastewater treatment operations and mechanical maintenance.
Preferred: 3+ years knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and guidance supporting startup of plant utilities and daily operations.
Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes and related equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and testing on treatment systems and utilities.
Maintain compliance with discharge permits and environmental regulations.
Support on-call rotation and respond to alarms and emergencies.
