Job summary

The City of Turlock is seeking an Utilities Maintenance Worker, Sr. to perform advanced journey level work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the City's sanitary sewer, storm collection system, and water distribution system.

Under general supervision, you will provide technical staff assistance and supervise crews. This position requires extensive knowledge of water utilities, backflow, and safety practices, with responsibilities including cost estimates, material procurement, and

Qualifications

• Advanced journey level knowledge of sewer, storm and water systems.
• Experience planning, supervising, and reviewing work.
• Familiar with backflow prevention and water treatment basics.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise water/sewer/storm maintenance activities.
• Inspect and train staff; prepare cost estimates for services.
• Monitor water quality, dosages, and safety compliance; respond to emergencies.
