Job summary

The City of Turlock is seeking an Utilities Maintenance Worker, Sr. to oversee advanced journey level work on the water distribution, sewer, and storm systems. The role includes supervising staff and coordinating maintenance, repair, and preventive programs under general supervision.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience in utility operations, strong supervisory skills, and the ability to manage complex field projects while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Advanced journey level methods, materials, and equipment in sewer, storm, and water systems.
• Advanced journey level knowledge of the Citys distribution systems and maps.
• Advanced backflow knowledge and drinking water treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise water, sewer, and storm system construction, repair and maintenance activities.
• Inspect and review the work of subordinates and provide guidance.
• Prepare and review cost estimates for new service installations.
• Requisition and purchase of materials; maintain inventory and reports.
