Job summary

The City of Richmond Office of the City Attorney seeks a Senior Assistant City Attorney for the Operations and Development Division, representing the City’s Department of Public Utilities. Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• Seven years of environmental/public utilities law experience preferred; four years minimum.
• Virginia Bar admission required; licensed to practice in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal services to the City with emphasis on water utilities.
• Review, draft, and negotiate transactional documents and ordinances.
• Offer legal direction and research on regulatory compliance and real property matters.
• Supervise paralegal and legal staff and oversee workload.
