Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior User Researcher to shape what we build and how customers experience it. You’ll partner with product, design, engineering, and marketing leads to set priorities and translate customer needs into strategic decisions that move the business forward.

You’ll apply deep qualitative and quantitative methods, bring business judgment, and leverage AI insights where appropriate to deliver outcomes that matter for Snowflake’s customers.

As a Senior User Researcher at Snowflake, you’ll shape what we build and how customers experience it. You’ll work alongside product, design, engineering, and marketing leads to set priorities, make tough calls, and bring ideas to market. Your deep understanding of customer needs and business goals will make you a trusted partner in those decisions.

This role calls for deep research craft, strong business judgment, and fluency with AI. You’ll know when to move quickly, when to dig deeper, and how to turn what you learn into better outcomes for Snowflake’s customers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Partner with product, design, engineering, and marketing leads to set priorities that make a meaningful difference for Snowflake’s customers.
• Become an expert on your customers’ needs and goals, your product area, and the business objectives your team is working toward.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative research, choosing the methods and level of rigor each decision demands.
• Make product and go-to-market decisions alongside your partners. Work through tradeoffs, build alignment, and carry decisions through launch and adoption.
• Combine customer research, product usage data, and prior findings to identify opportunities and understand what needs to change.
• Identify where AI can strengthen your research, apply it deliberately, and hold the results to a high standard.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of industry user research experience, with examples of decisions that changed because of your work and the customer or business outcomes that followed.
• Deep experience across qualitative and quantitative methods. You can explain how you chose an approach, what its limits were, and why the evidence was sufficient for the decision.
• A track record of earning the trust of cross-functional leads and working with them through difficult product or go-to-market tradeoffs.
• Experience connecting customer needs to product and business goals, including identifying opportunities that weren’t apparent from the initial question.
• Experience using product usage data alongside primary research to reach a more complete understanding of a problem.
• Examples of AI applications you’ve put into practice in your research work—and the judgment you used to decide where they belonged.
