argenx seeks an experienced US patent attorney to lead strategy and portfolios across jurisdictions, advising research, development, regulatory and business teams. You will shape AI-assisted workflows with traditional prosecution to protect innovative biologics assets.

The role requires a JD, USPTO registration, and 8+ years in life sciences patent work, with the ability to translate biology into practical IP strategies and collaborate across functions.

Formación

• US Legal Credentials: JD, active bar membership in at least one US state, and USPTO registration.
• Life Sciences patent experience: 8+ years in building portfolios and executing patent strategy.
• Curiosity and appetite for agentic working: willingness to adopt AI capabilities and experiment responsibly.
• Judgment and clear communication: strong legal/business judgment and cross-functional collaboration.
• Preferred background: advanced life sciences degree; both law firm and in-house experience; biotech focus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop creative, business-aligned patent protection and enforcement strategies.
• Build and manage global portfolios; oversee US/Europe filings and prosecutions.
• Partner with scientists to identify and protect inventions and manage disclosures.
• Conduct risk analyses: FTO, validity, and landscape assessments.
• Lead due diligence for transactions; draft/negotiate IP provisions in agreements.
• Coordinate with internal/external counsel on disputes and litigation readiness.
• Oversee external counsel, drive portfolio reviews and long-range planning.
• Design and pilot agent-assisted IP workflows with accountable oversight.
