Job summary

Kaiser Permanente nurses are guided by an integrated nursing model that centers patients and families. The Staff RN III provides professional nursing care in Georgia, collaborates with the Health Care Team to deliver high-quality care, and engages patients and families in their care plan.

Requires minimum 3 years RN experience, 2 years in specialty, ADN or higher, GA RN license and BLS. Travel to two sites is required; schedule is 9a–9p.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of RN clinical experience.
• Minimum two (2) years in area of specialty.
• Associates degree in nursing.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Georgia RN license at hire; BLS required.
• BSN preferred; specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status and develop care plans.
• Document data and actions per policies.
• Assist with procedures and monitor patient responses.
• Lead nursing response to medical emergencies.
• Coordinate care with health care team and families.
• Provide patient education and health teaching.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as preceptor and mentor for new staff.
• Provide at least one training in-service yearly.
