Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our Water Technology team in North America, focusing on ultrapure water systems for the microelectronics sector. You will lead design, pilot, and deployment of complete UPW solutions, balancing capital costs and operating performance with customer needs.

With 10+ years in UPW, you will collaborate across functions, own system integration across unit operations, and drive improvement while ensuring compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical engineering (or related field) with UPW system experience.
• 10+ years in UPW treatment design; field operations appreciated.
• Experience with UPW processes for microelectronics.
• Ability to integrate multiple unit operations into cohesive systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design of UPW treatment solutions for microelectronics.
• Characterize water chemistry and design basis; scale equipment.
• Select unit processes, size equipment, and ensure process guarantees.
• Apply advanced treatment technologies (ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, RO, ion exchange, UV, gas-transfer membranes).
• Own system integration and collaborate with system integrator on complex flowsheets.
• Evaluate operation under design and upset conditions; participate in HAZOPs.
• Engage in piloting and benchmarking treatability studies for design, commissioning, and optimization.
