Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) has a on-site opening in Annapolis Junction, MD for a Switchgear Technician. This role maintains UPS and switchgear systems, performs breaker testing, and ensures uninterrupted power supplies across facilities. On-site work model; hourly pay at 47.24 USD.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
5+ years electrical/electronic service and maintenance, with UPS/PDU/switchgear.
Valid state electrician license in good standing.
Valid Class B Fuel Operator Certification or obtain within 120 days.
Able to pass pre-hire background and drug screen.
U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain IC clearance.
Valid driver’s license with good record.
Able to lift 50 lbs and team lift 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Assist with scheduling and maintenance of all airframe switchgear breakers.
Troubleshoot and repair UPS and switchgear equipment under 600V.
Schedule and perform maintenance and service calls on UPS, switchgears and batteries.
Prepare large-scale outage events and coordinate one-line drawings updates.
Coordinate with vendors and act as SME for third-party requirements.
Perform periodic tours of UPS and switchgear and maintain logs.
