Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions, LLC in Annapolis Junction, MD, is seeking an Assistant Facility Manager (Electrical Shop) to oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the campus electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, generators, and UPS equipment.

Under the direction of the Facility Manager, you will lead a technical staff, plan predictive maintenance, and ensure safety, compliance, and quality across operations.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent GED.
• Experience in facilities operations and/or maintenance.
• Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Journeyman Electrician or OEM Certification for Generators.
• Knowledge of switchgear, generators and UPS equipment.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate subordinates.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• MS Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication; organized.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage services under the statement of work with Building Management.
• Review site work for compliance with plans and codes.
• Develop and follow predictive maintenance schedule.
• Provide leadership, training, and accountability for staff.
• Set department priorities aligned to safety and performance.
• Coordinate material requisitions and supplies as needed.
• Interpret and explain complex codes and procedures.
• Prepare weekly/monthly Technical Progress Reports.
• Schedule maintenance personnel and respond to emergencies.
