ETC Interactive Ltd. in New York City is seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to lead the design and implementation of advanced gameplay systems in Unreal Engine, with a focus on robust networking and scalable architecture.

You will collaborate with design and engineering to deliver high-performance features, optimize server-client communication, and mentor junior developers as the team grows toward an alpha launch.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional game development experience as a programmer, with at least one shipped title.
• Expert-level C++ skills and extensive Unreal Engine experience.
• Deep understanding of multiplayer network programming, prediction, and replication.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and dedicated game server deployment is desirable.
• Ability to architect complex, interconnected game systems and communicate with non-technical teammates.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain gameplay systems in Unreal Engine.
• Lead multiplayer feature implementation with optimized server-client replication.
• Collaborate on integrating AWS hosting infrastructure and dedicated server logic.
• Work with game design to translate visions into high-performance features.
• Profile, optimize, and debug to maintain target frame rates and server tick rates.
• Mentor junior programmers, conduct code reviews, and establish coding standards.
