etc. interactive, a New York City-based game studio, seeks a 3D Modeling Intern to contribute Blender and Unreal Engine 5 work across our project. This generalist role offers room to grow into larger pieces like vehicle geometry and destructible buildings.

A true Blender expert will thrive and adapt quickly. The role can be performed remotely or in our New York City studio, with some overlap with Eastern Time hours.

Qualifications

• Portfolio or reel of modelling work required.
• Proficiency in Blender and UE5 preferred.
• Understanding of game-ready topology, polycount budgets, UVs, and collision.
• Ability to work from loosely defined tasks and ask questions.

Responsibilities

• Model, clean up, and prepare assets in Blender for UE5.
• Handle UVs, LODs, collision meshes, and export settings.
• Build vehicle geometry from blockout to game-ready meshes.
• Create destructible building geometry and modular pieces.
• Iterate on feedback from founders and engineers.
