The role involves providing SRE support, collaboration with engineering teams, and direct client engagement. Candidates must have over 6 years of Unix/Linux Administration in large environments, alongside strong troubleshooting and project management skills. This position requires excellent communication abilities and is pivotal in maintaining operational stability and compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Unix/Linux Administration experience in a large, distributed environment.
• Experience in project management and incident/change management.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux (Red-hat) and Solaris.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and technologies like NFS, NIS, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with Unix system monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide SRE support to Critical Infrastructure in a follow-the-sun model.
• Provide rotational on-call support and weekend project work.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for new hardware/software certification.
• Engage with clients to understand business demands and support during outages.
