Job summary

Summit Credit Union in West Milwaukee is seeking a Senior Universal Banker (Personal Banker) to guide members through everyday banking and major life decisions. You will lead conversations, build relationships, and provide expert support on accounts, loans, and digital tools.

You’ll mentor other bankers, contribute to branch success through service excellence, and help members realize goals like home ownership, with a voice that values inclusion, growth, and community.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales or customer service experience (or related higher education).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an NMLS number.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills reflecting Summit’s positive, member-focused culture.
• Adaptability and sound judgment for daily challenges within guidelines.
• Active listening skills and commitment to understanding and resolving member needs.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate proactively with members and non-members.
• High attention to detail with consistent follow-up and through.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and digital tools.
• Basic math skills and readiness to learn more complex financial concepts.
