Job summary

Fox Corporation is seeking a Senior Union Payroll Associate to manage multi-state, multi-company payroll processing for union and non-union freelance employees. You will ensure accuracy and compliance with CBAs and federal, state, and local regulations.

The role requires deep knowledge of union payroll rules, withholding orders, and timekeeping systems, with a focus on process improvement and cross-team collaboration. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on union payroll processing experience, preferably with IBEW, IATSE, AFTRA, and/or NABET CBAs.
• Experience interpreting and setting up withholding orders for levies, garnishments, child support, and other involuntary wage assignments.
• Experience with automated time and attendance systems.
• Experience initiating and leading standardization and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong working knowledge of FLSA, wage and hour and tax regulations.
• Ability to interpret CBAs for pay and paid time off rules.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-state, multi-company weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for union and non-union freelance employees in accordance with CBAs and regulations.
• Process on-demand payments, retroactive payments, one-time payments, tax adjustments, and other payroll actions per FOX policies and regulations.
• Interpret and set up withholding orders for levies, garnishments, and other wage assignments within the payroll system.
• Understand union pay and paid time off rules and the timekeeping system; answer employee questions.
• Provide testing support during new timekeeping system implementation and assist with training.
• Conduct detailed pre-payroll audits of earnings, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax setups.
• Audit and reconcile union-related inputs (dues, initiation fees, retirement contributions) for accuracy.
• Ensure proper taxation of all employee payments, including employer-paid union benefits, and respond to employee inquiries.
• Review and update SOPs to ensure compliance and process efficiency.
• Act as subject-matter expert on union timekeeping rules and paid time off policies.
• Assist employees and management with questions or requests regarding union payroll; manage escalations and root cause analyses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and SOX controls.
