Job summary

Colonial Group in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead pricing and analysis initiatives. You will guide underwriting teams, collaborate with Producers, clients, and executives, and drive strategic goals with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills with a track record of managing mid to large projects and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) or more years related work experience.
• One (1) or more year of management experience leading a team of at least 3 individuals.
• Valid Insurance License.
• Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

Responsibilities

• Execute underwriting and pricing projects with expertise in pricing and marketing.
• Meet with Producers, clients, Underwriters, and Account Executives to define and accomplish projects.
• Manage team of Underwriters and Analysts to determine workload distribution.
• Assist in setting strategic goals including resource planning, education/training needs, policy development and growth.
• Maintain data tracking and reporting for financial management and client deliverables.
• Lead client underwriting projects and present analyses clearly.
