Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting Sr. Analyst to drive financial analysis and pricing strategies within the PBM space.

You will support pricing deployment across Caremark and the Enterprise, delivering data-driven recommendations to optimize margins and client value. In this high-impact role, you will use analytics to inform pricing for multiple business lines, work with internal teams on FAFs and regulatory scenarios, and communicate methodologies and outcomes clearly to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a health plan actuarial role, PBM financial analysis or underwriting role, or comparable industry experience.
• Preferred PBM/Health Plan or PBM/Employer experience.
• Actuarial certifications a plus; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and develop recommendations to maximize client value while retaining margin in PBM and Enterprise.
• Develop pricing for multiple lines of business based on in-depth competitive analysis.
• Assist Aetna’s Underwriting leadership to develop pricing for downstream pricing with segment-specific data.
• Complete tasks in the Caremark Underwriting models and modify FAFs as needed.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support internal and client requests.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Sales, Account Management and Caremark/Aetna Finance partners.
• Create and update Pricing Commitment Documents reflecting Caremark’s pricing and contract terms for each business segment.
• Advise Caremark Legal as underwriting expert during contract negotiations and advise on regulatory changes.
