Camden National Bank seeks an Underwriting Manager to lead its underwriting department and ensure sound credit decisions. You will oversee underwriters across Conventional, Portfolio, FHA, VA and RD loans, while maintaining policy adherence and staff development.

Knowledge of loan policies, real estate terminology, and regulatory compliance is essential. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of mortgage underwriting experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership or management role within banking.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Experience with loan policy and real estate terminology.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the underwriting department, providing scenarios and credit decisions.
• Oversee underwriters who render lending decisions on Conventional, Portfolio, FHA, VA & RD loans.
• Provide oversight of Consumer Lending, including lending operations and policy adherence.
• Develop staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain investor relationships.
