Job summary

Ledgebrook is seeking an AVP, Underwriting Manager (Southeast) to lead and develop a team of underwriters while managing an individual book of business. The role requires strong technical underwriting skills, leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates will manage relationships with brokers, drive profitable growth, and ensure underwriting quality. The position offers a competitive salary range of $170,000-$200,000, along with equity participation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience, preferably within E&S or specialty casualty lines.
• Prior leadership or team management experience preferred.
• Strong technical underwriting and portfolio management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of underwriters to achieve production and profitability goals.
• Manage and grow an individual book of business while maintaining profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers.
