Ledgebrook is looking for a genuine heavyweight to lead its South Central underwriting operation.
This is not a conventional underwriting management position. We need an established senior leader with the market presence, technical authority and commercial ambition to take full ownership of the region and run it as a business.
You will own the strategy, growth, profitability and underwriting performance of the South Central region. You will be expected to build a high-performing team, command credibility with major wholesale brokers and make clear decisions about where Ledgebrook should deploy capacity—and where it should not.
This is a senior appointment with substantial authority, visibility and accountability.
Experience across general liability, excess casualty, construction, habitational, hospitality and manufacturing risks would be particularly relevant. A background within an MGA, delegated-authority platform or entrepreneurial specialty carrier would also be highly valuable.
This opportunity is most likely to suit someone already running a substantial regional underwriting operation, business unit or casualty portfolio who wants greater ownership and the opportunity to build.
It is not a developmental step for someone moving into senior leadership for the first time. Nor will it suit someone accustomed to operating through several layers of approval.
Ledgebrook is entrepreneurial, data-driven and growing quickly. The successful individual will have considerable influence over the direction of the South Central business—but will also be expected to deliver meaningful, profitable results.
