Job summary

PMA is seeking a Referral Underwriter to lead the development and oversight of our property, casualty, auto, and umbrella lines. The role collaborates on risk selection, pricing, and underwriting guidelines, handling referrals beyond the Regional Manager's authority.

Responsibilities include loss forecasting, pricing system usage, training, QA coordination, and product development liaison to ensure compliant, profitable underwriting and market competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7 to 10 years of multi line underwriting with a carrier.
• Knowledge of casualty coverage and loss sensitive deal structures.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee PMA's lines of coverage and underwriting authority guidelines.
• Handle referrals from the field that exceed Regional Manager authority.
• Lead loss forecasting, pricing system use, and training for underwriters.
• Coordinate with QA, branch underwriting, and product development on protocols.
• Provide technical sales support for loss sensitive product offerings.
