Job summary

AXA XL in the Americas region is seeking an Underwriting Governance & Controls Senior Analyst to support governance, reporting and portfolio management for underwriting. This role reports to the Governance Operations Manager and collaborates with CUO leadership, business unit heads and risk, internal audit to strengthen first-line controls across all products.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Americas underwriting regulatory requirement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent knowledge of underwriting operations.
• Project management capability.
• Extensive Underwriting, Underwriting Operations or Audit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Americas underwriting leaders, with minimal oversight, to ensure effective governance and controls.
• Implement a sound control environment by leveraging good practices, common processes and technology (collaborating with Global CUO’s, GIO etc.).
• Coordinate with Americas CUO, Business Unit Heads and 2nd and 3rd lines of defense (Risk Management, Internal audit) to continuously improve business processes and controls (first line of defense) across all applicable products and functions.
• Assist in maintaining the first line of defense framework and processes to ensure compliance with underwriting governance and controls.
• Focus on the individual business unit compliance with UW controls set by GCUO and the Americas Segment Leaders.
