Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Underwriting Assistant to join the Midwest Underwriting Team.

You’ll be the first point of contact for brokers and agents, starting the underwriting process for existing business and handling renewals within assigned authority across multiple lines. You will mentor others, lead trainings and projects, and collaborate with underwriters across a variety of lines.

Qualifications

• Underwrite across Workers' Comp, Property, General liability, Auto and Umbrella lines.
• P&C insurance work experience required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite small renewals within an assigned Letter of Authority.
• Collaborate with underwriters on policy requests and renewals.
• Follow guidelines, state regulations, and procedures while handling renewals.
• Own tasks and provide timely service; manage workload efficiently.
• Provide agency support by answering questions and directing to correct contacts.
• Lead trainings, projects, and mentor less experienced staff.
