Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting Senior Analyst to lead financial analysis and underwriting within the PBM pricing team. You will help shape pricing strategies for Caremark and CVS Health Enterprise, delivering data-driven insights to improve margins and support senior leadership.

This role requires 3 years in a health plan actuarial, PBM financial analysis or underwriting role, with strong Excel skills and the ability to collaborate across Sales, Account Management, Caremark, and Aetna

Qualifications

• 3 years in a health plan actuarial role, PBM financial analysis or underwriting role, or comparable industry experience.
• Actuarial experience and actuarial certifications are a plus.
• Strong technical skills – particularly in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and develop recommendations to maximize client value while retaining margin.
• Develop pricing recommendations for multiple lines of business based on in-depth analysis.
• Assist underwriting leadership to develop pricing for downstream pricing with segment data.
• Complete tasks in Caremark Underwriting models.
• Modify FAFs as needed.
• Ad-hoc analysis to support internal and client requests.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Sales and Account Management.
• Create and update Pricing Commitment Documents reflecting pricing terms.
• Advise Caremark Legal during contract negotiations.
• Provide analysis on regulatory changes and implementation scenarios.
• Collaborate with internal partners to understand downstream implications and ensure timely implementation.
