Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services is seeking a Senior Underwriter to administer underwriting agencies within the assigned territory. The role demands expert risk analysis, pricing, and servicing while ensuring adherence to underwriting standards and authority.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial lines property and casualty experience.
• Experience with workers' compensation, commercial property, casualty, auto, and umbrella.
• Ability to travel including overnight stays.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong data interpretation and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Write a profitable book through risk analysis, pricing, and servicing.
• Ensure compliance with state filings and written authority.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, and support teams.
• Develop the territory business plan with management and team.
• Travel within the territory to meet agencies and related organizations.
• Maintain professional communication with external clients and internal staff.
• Provide guidance to staff for processing coverage requests.
• Gather competitive information and monitor market trends.
• Perform other functionally related duties as assigned.
