Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services is seeking a Senior Underwriter for the Staffing/Healthcare Vertical to manage underwriting, servicing of new and renewal accounts, and ensure adherence to pricing standards.

The role involves cross-team collaboration, frequent travel to meet agents and producers, and developing the vertical business plan with management. Strong risk analysis and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• CPCU or CIC designation preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within the assigned territory and to the home office as required.
• Demonstrated experience with and expert technical knowledge of workers compensation coverage and risk selection, methods and pricing.
• Demonstrate ability to interpret and analyze data and make an informed, calculated risk decision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Write and retain a profitable book of business through solid risk analysis, pricing and servicing.
• Maintain compliance with state filings and adhere to underwriting and pricing guidelines.
• Collaborate with vertical team and keep management informed of issues and activity.
• Develop and implement the vertical business plan with Regional Sales and Business Generation Managers.
• Train vertical staff and clients on underwriting appetite and protocols.
• Build and maintain outside client relationships, including travel to meet agents and organizations.
