Sentara Health Plan is seeking a Senior Underwriter to work remotely. This is a full-time, permanent position with 40 hours weekly, nationwide remote opportunities across several states supported by a robust benefits package.

You will bring deep expertise in claims analysis, underwriting for fully insured and self-funded plans, and pricing under complex data conditions. The role mentors other underwriters and partners with Sales, Actuarial, and Leadership to drive strategy and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with health plan experience.
• Expertise in Fully Insured and Self-Funded underwriting.
• Experience analyzing claims and pricing with limited data.
• Mentor and SME for Underwriters and Trainees.
• Collaborates with Sales, Actuarial, and Leadership.

Responsibilities
