Qualifications

• 2.5+ years of progressive underwriting experience and/or related experience.
• Proven analytical ability to evaluate underwriting risks and determine terms.
• CPCU or professional designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, evaluates, and underwrites new and renewal business, determining premium and terms.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with agents and brokers to market products and support profitable growth.
• Manages a complex portfolio, identifying opportunities to improve market share and profitability.
• Documents underwriting decisions with sound judgment and compliance with guidelines.
• Provides coaching and mentorship to junior underwriters and analysts.
• Partners with leadership to influence underwriting standards and drive continuous improvement.
