Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking a Senior Underwriter to grow our private company and nonprofit management liability book from our New York office. You will underwrite, analyze financials, and negotiate terms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain profitability.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant underwriting or broker experience, strong communication, and a results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Management Liability business for private companies and nonprofit organizations.
• Analyze financial statements, operations, governance structures, and loss experience.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, retentions, and coverage enhancements.
• Monitor portfolio profitability and underwriting performance.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, legal, and product development teams to ensure products perform as designed.
