UFP Industries seeks an accomplished Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter to grow a profitable excess commercial P&C book by nurturing broker relationships and targeting key accounts. The role emphasizes strong communication, data-driven pricing and robust underwriting programs.

This production underwriter will drive broker interactions, maintain a solid industry reputation and deliver profitable results while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of commercial underwriting and/or marketing experience.
• Bachelors Degree in insurance, finance, economics or a related field is strongly preferred.
• CPCU certification preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced trend analytics and pricing recommendations to manage new business pipeline and renewals based on account analysis and industry trend.
• Gathers, organizes and assesses data needed to manage risk/exposures.
• Meet profitability, account retention, and written premium goals determined by the Director of Underwriting.
• Make independent underwriting decisions based on established underwriting guidelines and company policies.
• Develop and adjust policy structure to ensure they meet the needs of clients while managing the Company’s risk and financial performance.
• Ensure all underwriting activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
