Job summary

AIG in Chicago seeks a Senior Underwriter for Fronting/Group Captives to contribute to the Group Captive Underwriting team. You will onboard new business opportunities and manage Group Captive accounts, maintaining underwriting files and collaborating with peers.

The role emphasizes building strong broker relationships, communicating risk appetite, and supporting booking and coding with associates in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new business opportunities.
• Handle up to 2 medium-sized Group Captive accounts.
• Maintain clear and concise underwriting files and perform self-audits for other underwriters.
• Communicate risk appetite/Captive Solutions Value Proposition to brokers.
• Work with Associate Underwriter(s) to ensure booking and coding on accounts are completed.
• Resolve account-related questions from internal peers and/or Clients/Brokers that are within their scope; or escape to leadership.
• Participate in client (internal/external) conference calls.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Producers and Captive Intermediaries.
