Qualifications

• Proficiency with Encompass for workflow management.
• Strong knowledge of Non-QM guidelines and risk layering.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manually underwrite mortgage loan transactions in accordance with company and investor guidelines.
• Perform quality control audits of third-party vendors.
• Review loan scenarios and communicate eligibility requirements to clients.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will focus on the manual underwriting of complex mortgage transactions, with an emphasis on Non-QM lending, income analysis, and layered risk assessment. The position partners closely with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to evaluate eligibility, address credit and compliance concerns, and support sound lending decisions. The work also includes helping maintain underwriting standards and ensuring consistent adherence to investor and organizational guidelines.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000+ annually

Responsibilities

• Manually underwrite mortgage loan transactions in accordance with company and investor guidelines
