Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate complex small business financing requests requiring manual underwriting.
• Analyze financial information, credit profiles, supporting documentation, and risk factors.
• Make independent credit decisions using established underwriting guidelines.
• Evaluate exception-based lending scenarios while maintaining risk tolerances.
• Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to funding.
• Generate contract requests and validate funding documentation.
• Partner with Sales, Underwriting Processing, Merchant Support, and other teams.
• Communicate professionally with merchants, referral partners, and lenders.

We are looking for a Senior Underwriter to support our Underwriting team. This role is ideal for an experienced underwriter who enjoys evaluating complex lending opportunities, analyzing financial information, and making sound credit decisions. You'll play a key role by reviewing complex financing requests, partnering with internal teams, and helping ensure funding decisions are accurate, timely, and aligned with ECG's lending philosophy.
