N&S Locating Services d.b.a. S&N in Goldsboro, NC seeks a Locate Technician to accurately identify and mark underground utilities for safe excavation. You will conduct site surveys, read maps/blueprints, and report findings clearly to construction teams while maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in utility locating, experience with electronic locating equipment and GPS devices, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in utility locating or related field.
• Experience with maps and blueprints; GPS and electronic locating experience.

• Conduct site surveys to identify and mark underground utilities.
• Interpret and analyze maps/blueprints for precise locations.
• Communicate findings clearly to construction teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed records of markings/surveys and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians as needed.
• Respond to emergency locate requests to support urgent needs.
