Job summary

Amador Water Agency is seeking personnel for Construction I–III roles responsible for a wide range of construction, installation, maintenance, and repair activities on water and wastewater facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities include building, repairing, and inspecting pipelines, meters, valves, pumps, and related infrastructure, with emphasis on safety and adherence to regulations. Opportunities exist for lead roles on projects and crews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with construction/installation of underground utilities experience preferred.
• Three (3) years of semi-skilled construction experience in water distribution and wastewater collection systems, or two (2) years at Level I.
• Eight (8) years total construction experience in installation of underground utilities with crew leader experience for Level III.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the construction, maintenance and/or repair of the Agency’s water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Operates heavy manual labor and a range of tools and equipment.
• Maintains and repairs water and sewer lines, pump and lift stations, and related facilities.
• Receives general administrative direction; work is reviewed through inspections.
