Job summary

Jerritt Canyon is seeking an Underground Operations Supervisor to lead underground mining crews at our Nevada operation. You will oversee daily production, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with planning, engineering, geology, and safety teams to meet targets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in underground hard-rock mining, strong leadership, and thorough knowledge of ground control, ventilation, equipment operations, and production processes. ATF clearance is required or can be obtained.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underground hard-rock mining experience.
• Prior supervision or leadership in an underground setting.
• Understanding of ground-control and mine ventilation basics.
• Ability to coordinate drilling, blasting, mucking, and production.
• Strong communication across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise underground mining crews, contractors, and operators.
• Coordinate production and development per mine plans and schedules.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for all activities.
• Conduct inspections, toolbox talks, and safety observations.
• Monitor ground-control and ventilation, addressing risks promptly.
• Maintain shift reports and production records accurately.
• Coach and mentor employees to improve safety and productivity.
