Job summary

First Majestic Silver Corp-Jerritt Canyon Gold is seeking a Process Maintenance Planner to plan, coordinate, and optimize maintenance for the processing plant and associated infrastructure within a mining operation.

You will develop detailed work plans, schedules, and material lists, working closely with operations, maintenance supervisors, reliability engineers, procurement, and warehouse personnel to maximize plant reliability, safety, and production performance.

Qualifications

Diploma/associate/bachelor in mechanical/industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
CMMS knowledge (SAP PM, IBM Maximo) desirable.
3–5 years of maintenance planning or scheduling in mining or fixed plant environment.
Experience developing job plans, work packages, labor estimates, material lists, and maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed maintenance work plans, job packages, and schedules for planned, preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.
Prioritize maintenance work based on equipment criticality, safety risks, and production impact.
Coordinate weekly and daily maintenance schedules with operations and maintenance teams to minimize production interruptions.
Identify resource requirements, including labor, tools, equipment, specialist services, and contractor support.
Ensure work orders are properly scoped, estimated, planned, and ready for execution.
Plan maintenance activities for processing plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, feeders, screens, pumps, flotation equipment, thickeners, mills, slurry systems, and other fixed plant assets.
Develop job plans that include work instructions, labor estimates, equipment isolation requirements, tooling, spare parts, and technical documentation.
Review equipment history, maintenance records, inspection findings, and failure reports to identify recurring issues and improve maintenance plans.
Coordinate planned maintenance activities with production teams to optimize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
Identify and verify spare parts, consumables, and materials required for scheduled maintenance work.
Coordinate with procurement, inventory control, and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available before work is scheduled.
Identify long-lead items, repairable components, and critical spares that may affect maintenance execution.
Ensure maintenance work packages include accurate material lists, specifications, and equipment documentation.
Maintain accurate work orders, job plans, equipment records, maintenance schedules, and material requirements in CMMS (SAP PM / IBM Maximo).
Monitor work-order status, backlog, schedule compliance, planned maintenance performance, and work readiness.
Prepare maintenance planning reports and provide updates on upcoming work, resource requirements, and schedule constraints.
Ensure completed work orders are closed out with accurate labor, material, failure, and equipment history information.
