Job summary

WW Clyde seeks a Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil Underground in Orem, UT to lead the underground estimating effort for water and wastewater infrastructure projects ranging from $5M to over $100M. You will own the estimate quality from takeoff through bid submission, mentor junior estimators, and drive bid strategy and risk assessment.

The role requires extensive experience in underground construction methods, strong negotiation and leadership, and proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Excel,

Qualifications

• 10+ years estimating underground utility, pipeline, or water/wastewater infrastructure work.
• Lead estimator with ownership through bid day.
• Strong ability to develop production rates and cost models.

Responsibilities

• Lead full cycle estimating for underground water and wastewater projects.
• Review plans, specs, addenda, and contracts; define scope, risk, and bid requirements.
• Develop detailed estimates including takeoffs, crew planning, pricing, and markups.
• Price risk items: shoring, dewatering, rock excavation, bypass pumping, and traffic control.
• Develop production rates for large diameter pipe installation; manage bid package sign off.
• Mentor junior estimators and participate in bid reviews.
