Harper Brothers Construction is seeking a Senior Heavy Civil Underground Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale underground utility projects in the Austin area, including a major wastewater treatment plant project. This role oversees multiple crews, foremen, subcontractors, and self-perform operations to ensure safety, on-schedule delivery, and top-quality results.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil/underground projects.
• Experience leading multiple crews and coordinating field operations.
• Strong scheduling, production planning, and field coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on heavy civil and underground projects.
• Mentor superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Manage installation of reinforced concrete pipe and box structures.
• Oversee deep underground installations up to 20 ft.
• Ensure trench protection and shoring safety.
• Coordinate earthwork, compaction, and QC testing.
• Review plans, schedules, and docs to resolve issues.
• Maintain daily reports and production logs.
• Collaborate with PMs, Owners, Engineers, Inspectors.
• Drive safety culture and zero-tolerance for shortcuts.
