Job summary

University of Miami/UHealth Department of OBGYN seeks an Ultrasound Technologist 3 for a full-time position in Miami, FL. You will perform diagnostic sonographic examinations, schedule tests, maintain logs, calibrate equipment, and support Ultrasound Services in the absence of the Ultrasound Chief Technologist.

You will operate 2-D/3-D/color/power and Doppler ultrasound modalities, ensure study quality, and assist physicians with procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialty sonographic procedures in cases involving all levels of difficulty.
• Operates complex ultrasound equipment including 2-D, 3-D, color, power and spectral Doppler modalities.
• Oversees diagnostic quality of all scans with knowledge of ultrasound techniques and pathology.
• Evaluates preliminary interpretations to alert attending physician of pathology.
• Assists physicians in invasive and special procedures and prepares patients for examinations.
• Ensures safety and infection control standards are followed.
• Completes required paperwork and enters reports in the EMR system.
