Job summary

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of OBGYN is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist 1 for a full-time role. The position focuses on performing complex ultrasound procedures and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images under radiologist supervision.

Responsibilities include routine and specialized scans, patient prep, safety, QA, and training of staff. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience are required. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Learning Agility, Teamwork, Technical Proficiency, and Communication are valued.
• Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialty sonographic procedures with all levels of difficulty.
• Operates Ultrasound scanners and related equipment under Radiologist supervision.
• Ensures diagnostic quality and makes preliminary interpretations when applicable.
• Gathers pertinent clinical information from charts/EMR and other sources.
• Assists physicians in invasive and special procedures.
• Trains coworkers, ultrasound students, residents, and visitors.
• Maintains equipment and performs QA tests; adheres to safety standards.
